ken's chili recipe

In response to a couple of requests...serves 15-20 people
and you'll have lots left over. The folks in Room In The Inn
(our church's homeless shelter) will be eating this tomorrow night.

3-4 pounds of ground chuck (substitute turkey)
1-2 pounds of sausage (substitute turkey)
4 of the largest cans of whole tomatoes you can find on sale
4 of the largest cans of kidney beans you can find on sale
2 of the biggest mild chili-seasoning packets you can find on sale
2 huge onions, yellow are fine

Slice the onions, brown the meat, and cook together.
In a large pot, put everything else in, and heat.
Drain the meat repeatedly.
When brown, put in the large pot with everything else.
Throw in a little garlic powder, some more chili powder, some olive oil.
Bring to a boil. Then turn to low heat.
Simmer for one and a half hours. Stir occasionally.

Great for cold weather, like we are experiencing now.

Hi ken carter
I never realised that so many different types of blog would show up if I did a search on something like chicken. I'm still not sure how well ken's chili recipe fits into that category, but I've enjoyed visiting :0) Adios Amigo.

Crikey! One minute I'm searching the web for things on salmon, and the next I'm reading ken's chili recipe. I'm not sure that's exactlly what I had in mind, ken carter, but I've enjoyed my visit. Now I'm off to try another search on salmon.

I think I've found a search engine with a sense of humor - I was actually looking for articles on baking bread, and here I am on a site called ken's chili recipe. There's probably an electronic explanation for this and I have enjoyed the experience, so no harm done. Have a nice day ken carter - if that's your real name :0)
